Pokeddex 2013 Day 11: Favorite Ground

Time for day 11, favorite ground,  and mine's 

Mamoswine

Reasons why I chose this pokemon

I really enjoy how  Mamoswine took an evolution line I didn't care a ton for and made something really cool out of it. I feel piloswine had some ehh design choices for a pokemon of the mammoth concept and fixed it all up, no longer is it just a huge hump with horns but it's now a fully sized intimidating mammoth. the  touch of the blue around  the eye area for a focal point I particularly enjoy, and the tusks are huge and menacing. very nice

it's actually a really solid useful pokemon with priority ice shard among other nifty tools like stealth rock and earthquake.

it's faster than you would think looking at the design. to me it looks like it should be a slow tanky pokemon, but nope, 80 base speed. not super impressive, but a nice middle ground and a neat surprise. that's as fast as kabutops, yeah, imagine this thing running as fast as nimble skinny kabutops XD
